The Southern Nevada Chess Club now has two 26″ regulation-sized Crokinole Boards for use by our players during sessions when Tournament Chess is not played, including Casual Chess and Socializing.
Crokinole is a “dexterity” board game for two or four players on a circular wooden table platform with wooden discs, also called ‘buttons’, where players flick/shoot the discs aiming for a center hole or opponent discs. The game has similar characteristics to those found in Shuffleboard and Marbles and requires a large degree of skill which are developed over time. The game appeals to kids and adults alike.
For now, SNVCC will facilitate free casual Crokinole gameplay among our members. In the coming weeks, we plan to organize Crokinole tournaments.
